Great minds ehh, we tried that as I was speaking to you last night, turns out they are both fried, I did get a reading off one primary so put 24v AC through it and got a reading from all secondary coils, put 110 through and it just arked and crackled, put an order in for new transformers last night couldn't get exactly what was needed so went for a small 12v aswell as that only powers the effects module

What sort of DC current is required? Those power supplies I ordered are 1.5A, but there are 2.5A versions. The boards are tiny, much smaller than the transformer.

What are they like noise-wise? I assume this is a mixer in the audio sense so low noise may be important.

Heh, I rebuilt / modded a big Soundcraft studio desk for a bloke I know, got it finished and working nicely then he moaned he could hear humming through his headphones - I had a look and he could still hear it after I pulled the 'phones plug out :/
It stopped when I turned the central heating off and the radiator stopped grumbling.

They are specifically for low noise applications, never had a problem with pa gear but unless you get identical gear and substitute one for a conventional transformer who can say for sure how it compares

I think he was just looking for a way not to pay me, was nearly a week's work...

You have to do a bit of sleight-of-hand and distraction, lean over the desk and say "See it this helps", prod a few buttons with one hand while the other pulls the plug out...
