What is the fault? It's a boss sp303 I have found the fault through the error code on the screen and through the roland site
Yes I did find this but all that guff guff is over my head lol. In the passed with tv etc I have replaced swollen caps with success.
Can you share the details as it sounded like you had discovered or found information on the cause? I dont want to spend hours searching forums for a device I dont have. It's a boss sp303 I have found the fault through the error code on the screen and through the roland site
E8 error on the data sheetCan you share the details as it sounded like you had discovered or found information on the cause? I dont want to spend hours searching forums for a device I dont have.
A very brief look suggests a communication fault between the IC's. The first thing I'd do is grab the datasheets for them, and check they recieve the correct supply voltages when its powered up - that would throw anything off if wrong and imply a power supply issue.
If the correct power voltages, and no visible defects, I'd suggest resoldering the relevant IC's, its likely uneconomic to repair.
