Where is the best place (Cheapest) to buy individual electrical components. Its for a project that I'm planning.

Currently ebay is stupid expensive and the big suppliers seem to want to sell me minimum quantities well in excess of what I need

Maplin would have been ideal for this sort of thing !!!

Shame, they were a good 'local' shop for the rare time I needed an electronic component!

used to use the local to my work to me quite a bit as only 10 mins from where i worked at the time but was a sad day when it closed

I tend to use Farnell. RS was often OK but for thinsg like caps I always ended up having to buy multiples
and the extra cost usally outweighed postage. I think my last order was from rapid.
It's usally a toss up between cheap postage and quantity with my small orders.

Or Electron Electronics. It's a bloke in the next
village to me who often has stuff at an ok price and I don't have to buy 100. But I have no idea
what his postal charges are like as I go and bang on the door and get whatever.

Mouser and digikey are big players. Also RS components, but they are a bit expensive on some things, however they stock a huge range of stuff and I have had good experience dealing with them.

Most of my recent bits are ebay, but my old stock of basic resistors,caps, and everything else on the list was from rapid a good 10 or 15 years ago when I used to play around making stuff. Be warned, an order can quickly get over £100 or more!

Al beat me to it. I recently received a huge box of bits from @500e and I'm pretty sure there's every value of resistor on your list in it plus many others. You'd have been welcome to whatever you needed, there's way more than I'll ever use.

What I have noticed recently is RS often list an item twice, £x each in a pack of 5 or £y each with single price being a bit more.
