Electrodes

I have an R-Tech 30A cutter, great little machine, it uses the long style PT31 electrodes, does anyone know if it would work if i switch torches to one that uses the short style electrodes?

Are the tips specific to each machine or just the torch that goes with it????

Which torch are you thinking of switching to,would it be another R-Tech type,ie the P40HF?

could you not just use short pt31 short electrodes? On your original torch

I was thinking any PT31 torch might work?

I dont think the long head will take a short electrode, there are internal differences.

Might be worth talking to plasma part. I have a pt31 torch, came with short tips but needed to change to long ones to work with a circle cutter
