Oven wattage is 200, grill is 1500. I think its on a 32a circuit? With 30a switch? Im clueless with this sort of thing so i appologies if im comming across abit daft

that will be a 2000 watt oven element not 200 the wiring looks ok for the 32 amp supply .ring them up and get an engineer out if its under guarantee

sounds a little low that for an oven ?? how long does it take to cook a pie??? must be in days not hrs lamps will take 40W and the fan another 10-15
coz at that it would run on 13 amp plug
As my double oven runs happily on 13 amp plug.

I actually use two now, but it gets a pain pressin two keys at once, n having to correct myself, spill check thinks I talk a different language, keeps askin 'do you want me to translate'

if you have worms you really need to see a doctor, it may sort out your terrible spelling

Rang them up this morning, said it sounds like the terminal block on the back of the oven, cant send any one out till 12th of march, so pot noodles, microwave meals and takeaway for a while. Some one should be coming to look at switch today.

Get them to check the oven end of that piece of twin & earth cable too, it might just be something has come loose and shorted out on the oven casing....
If that's the case keep the father inlaw away from the electrics in future. :-D

Trouble is if it is the T&E he might be in for a charge.
Ah just realized, you meant the guy that is fitting the switch? well if he is an eleccy he could run meter over the element to confirm?

Yes worth asking. I try to keep my farther in law away from as much as possible to be honest, thinks he knows best and wont be told other wise. I came home and found the cooker had been installed, i was slightly annoyed but what could i do?
