i got one from b and q a couple of years ago for about £15 thought it would do for wood etc. its a fairly small orange one with vairiable speed came in a case and has a little dust bag that is handy when working in the shed.
i tried it out on a car and its great although the discs i got with it are the velcro types and quite expensive. so i made an adaptor to use standard da discs i cut a circle out of a square plastic chemical drum and cut some velcro circles i found so it could be stuck to the da. now i can use the proper adhesive backed sanding discs i buy in packs of 100 for £8 from my local motor refinishing supplier. ive done 3 transits and 1 car aswell as a few bonnets and bumpers over the years and its been great. loads better than the air powerd one i got on ebay a few years ago.
