You get a reality tv star wind driven "selfie siren" approach alert, once you get up to 30 mph, it sets off - mee mee mee, lukka lukka mee mee mee, seeeelfieeee, mee mee mee lukka etc etc etc.

That buys a lot of petrol.

and you get gears to play with to make toons with the zorst, plus nice petrol n oil smells, can't see the smell of hot batteries/electrics pleasing a true petrol head.

My nipper does a bit of motocross and I went down to watch him race at a track near Horsham, the bike that won every race was a leccy KTM . Seemed very weird that all the noise and commotion was badly beaten by something you could not hear coming, sort of spoils it a bit really.

Lots of money, but I wouldn't mind the running costs! Almost no fuel bill, virtually no maintenance or servicing costs, no tax and I imagine the insurance is cheap too. I'd have one to commute, if it wasn't such stupid money to buy. Hopefully thousands of hipsters will buy them and get bored with them so they start turning up second hand for sensible money!

Seems dear for for a bike that only gets 60 miles. I would bet that the 60 mile quoted range would be under optimum conditions, like when manufacturers quote mpg.I would imagine a good headwind and a few steep hills will cut the 60 miles back a bit.
I bet in a few years time there will be a few for sale second hand that will be virtually worthless because the batteries will have stopped holding or taking a charge and replacements will be almost the price of buying a whole new bike.

It has lots of wee ones

Don't forget clarkson the world authority said a nissian leaf would need a new battery after 3 years and it would cost about £7000 to replace

You can get the battery pack swapped over for a refurbished one for about £1500 about the same as it cost me when the turbo went bang on the wifes car

They will be really worthless if you don't take on the battery lease cars like Nissan Leaf & Renault Zoe charge about £70 per month the lease the battery.
