never heard of a 100bar press a few quick calculations and you pump must be 700bar to get anywhere near 12ton with 40mmSmaller presses generally don't run that high a pressure.
My 12tonne one has a ~40mm diameter piston/rod, which equates to around 100bar.
However as has been mentioned, hydraulic power packs are going to be at least £5-600.
Air is far cheaper, but often not much quicker than a manual pump, however take a lot less effort.
Just realised I used the wrong units.never heard of a 100bar press a few quick calculations and you pump must be 700bar to get anywhere near 12ton with 40mm

Any press that is portapower based will be 700bar, so that's most of Machines Marts range of home workshop presses and other cheap presses.never heard of a 100bar press a few quick calculations and you pump must be 700bar to get anywhere near 12ton with 40mm

I've got an old EPCO press where the original pump failed and it now uses a porta power pump and I never realised it was working at that sort of pressure.Any press that is portapower based will be 700bar, so that's most of Machines Marts range of home workshop presses and other cheap presses.
Its surprising how much pressure is in those hoses often ropey if old and will cause alot of injury if they let goI've got an old EPCO press where the original pump failed and it now uses a porta power pump and I never realised it was working at that sort of pressure.
Yeah that why i used that figure as most pumps you can buy are 700 , mobile machinery mostly runs at 250-350Any press that is portapower based will be 700bar, so that's most of Machines Marts range of home workshop presses and other cheap presses.
