I have a wire brush wheel on a cheap bench grinder. It's loads easier. Only use a drill if I want to use a little acorn wire brush or similar to get into little corners.
To be honest, I didn't even fit it, it came to me second hand like it. It gets LOTS of use and it's not worn at all. I should see if I can find out who made the wheel. It's fine, but stiff. It's amazing at cleaning bolt threads bit also great on flat areas.
My main use is for cleaning up stuff like this Heart number four. A variation on a theme ... | MIG Welding Forum (mig-welding.co.uk)
so lots of little corners etc.
