Hello all - I've just become the proud owner of a Migatronic 5000MX with, I am told, a wire feed problem.
I took an ebay chance on this, after visiting the chap that was selling it to have a look. Nice size machine, takes big rolls of wire, full of dust.

I'd used a borrowed SIP machine to do a body repair a couple of years ago and decided I needed one of these. I have two sons with rusty cars.

So, if anyone has any words of wisdom and or experience with these, it's all welcomed. If I can find the time to try and diagnose the problem I'll post again.

What's the problem with the wire feed? Worth sticking a roll of wire in and turning it on. Slipping would be one thing, but if the wire feed doesn't start at all it would be another.

Post a pic, we use a few Migatronics, Wire troubles are easily solved usually. Virtually all spares are readily available.

Thanks chaps - it's stuck in the back of my bus at the moment as the garage is so full of junk I don't have any space to put it down and invstigate.
If I can, I'll get some pics of it this weekend for posting.
It's good to know spares are OK.

Hi dont know if this is of any help but have two migatronics myself. The factory is still in loughbrough but only for spares and service they are now made in denmark.The guys left in loughbrough are very helpfull. Had trouble with wire feed myself turned out to be worn feed tube just in front of the feed rollers, hope this helps cheers nigel.

Too busy over the weekend to get it plugged in for an inspection, that may have to wait until next week now.
