hi. i have a old eland 160 mig which has a wire feed fault after 10 minutes. we have replaced the feed control resistor switch but no different. any ideas anyone. cheers stuart
no instant bells rig but it worth a check...does the motor have a thermostatic cut out to prevent over heating and also if so is the wire feed roller wound down so hard it is causing the motor to work harder than it should? sounds like a cut out problem to me, what are the specs of the machine. and if you are working close to max, it may be a dutycycle issue. as i said no firm idea but a few more things to prod with a sharp stick.
