Didn't grab one, just the shot of the email. Possibly wouldn't have checked but remembered this thread. I've deleted the amount and turned off auto accept for good measure. I however cannot turn off the best offer option, keep getting this error message

Hi, It does make business sense to ebay because as they say it increases the chance of a sale and their commission, the fact the seller is losing out means nothing to them.

I like the bit where they state you can easily reject the offer, with my sales I already have rejected a lower price (which is what an offer is) because I state a price, it's what I want and if the price is not paid they don't get it.
I have no interest in lowering my prices to increase sales and actually find it offensive that I am being told what to do to succeed, they don't know me or my skills.
As mentioned once my stock has gone then so am I, probably another week or so.
In reality they have lost a seller who put a lot of business their way over the past years, at it's peak sales were over £3k a month on one of my accounts alone, probably small fry to them but all those small fry made them who they are but they won't be bothered.
This also means I won't have money sitting in my paypal account, often used on a whim for something I did not really want but was tempted with a couple of clicks, if I have to start entering card details, in fact if I have to bother getting up and finding my wallet to get my card then it will be a non sale and no profit for them....come to think of it I will save money and end up with less useless junk.

As if its just happened again.
After half an hour spent on the phone with them going round in circles trying to explain WHY I wasnt happy with them meddling with my listings, and effective halving my buy it now price, they told me apparently the item has an "ebay recommended price" of £7.50 and I am trying to sell it for too much. Ive just deleted the listing, I really can't be bothered with them any more

My last item sold today, had a little pre crimbo rush that cleared my listings, a shame because ebay used to be good.
Had some good customers, made a few friends around the country and even abroad, only ever had one neutral from a customer who decided the item listed at 120mm should have fit 180mm and it was my fault it failed to.

A slightly happier tale.
Im always browsing for old Ham radios and spotted one for sale that had a well known fixable fault. As he was selling it due to the fault, I messaged him saying that it won't sell for much as a faulty item, and as I had just done a similar one, would he like some repair information. Anyway we've exchanged details, he's removed the listing, and now has the info to repair it, he's happy to be keeping the radio, and Im happy that Ive been able to help someone out

Today we saw a used electronic piano on Ebay quite local to us and my daughter wanted to check it out before she bought it. She managed somehow to make contact with the seller 
and we went to have a look. My daughter was happy so we offered to pay him cash to save him paying commission to Paypal and he would only pay his sellers fee, then click buy it now and take it away with us. We paid him cash and got a receipt but it seems now you can't buy it now without paying with Paypal or credit card immediately! So we have the piano he has the cash and its still on Ebay as a buy it now.

That will be down to how the seller listed the item, you can tick a box that says something like 'immediate payment required' and if thats ticked then it wont end the listing unless you complete checkout.
