They simply have too much money and too much time on their hands. They keep tinkering with it, changing all the tiny things which make it fun. I recently discovered you can't ask a seller how much the combined postage is unless you commit to buy! Go figure...
As for the mobile site, well thats just plain nasty. Screws up my iPad all the time.
The searches annoy me now, if I do a general search for Austin 7 it includes stuff without the 7.
If I search for Austin 7 in car parts it now takes me to a menu which says 'Lets help you find the part you need', the thing is I'm not looking for a specific part, I'm looking to see what parts are available!
Hi, ebay don't like open auctions, they want to be a 'go to' retail site like Amazon. They started their campaign some years ago and have been chipping away at it since. It's like removing the 'classic car parts' category a while ago and when challenged over it they come back with the unanswerable question "Define classic car?" The thing is people know what a classic car is, but if they remove the section sellers can't offer the parts easily and buyers don't know where to look for them. Most classic car part sellers are private sellers. I know you have to look through a lot of market stall dross as well but with practice they can be skimmed through.
ive found there trying to make it a strict menu system now with no room to add your own wants and requests..the postage menu is a joke with not even enough money to post never mind wrapping and time to send off....the whole place has become a joke
