Ebay sellers blaming the post

Ordered items early last week. Not recieved any of them. Tooltime, MrBandsaw, and another.
Sent message asking for tracking numbers. Tooltime were honest, they havent sent it, and no stock, but still have the listings up, taking sales. Taking their time on the refund, waiting for ebay to step in. I wont be using them again.

MrBandsaw, I will never use again. Telling me sent Monday, it should have been sent last Thursday, I dont believe it was sent. It is still not here. His excuse, the post service is slow

Post is not slow, other items are arriving as normal. Posties are doing an amazing job keeping the country running, find it very irritating when people blame others.

I've had a nightmare with DHL this last week, something that should have been there last Thursday may possibly have made it today. Parcel force collected the replacement item yesterday and delivered today

Useless customer services - no response.

Hermes are the worst they employ any crook Iv had boxes turn up empty but eBay can be a nightmare as if they have a photo of it wrapped up you can’t do much against it

What I've learnt this past week is the drivers/depot in your area seem to have the biggest effect on the service, round here DHL are good, turns out where my delivery was going they're terrible. Hermes are good round here as well, by far the best here is dpd

The post is slow! Anything going through Birmingham is delayed.
All our RM parcels going north are taking at least 7 days.

Look up Coventry sorting depot.

It might be worthwhile showing some understanding and patience during this GLOBAL EMERGANCY!

Problem is not the post, for once. This is just the seller lying and not sending items. Maybe they will evetually send when they get more staff or more stock.

Its very easy for an ebay seller to mark themselves as away, delayed, or adjust the dates for delivery, so taking payments for items they can not send out is just stealing.

I used to work in RM, some good mates still do, as does my uncle. There are no delays, everyone I know including our postie says its running as normal... They do have some complaints about the managment.. but another thread...

Understanding and paitence come with communicaion, lies and blaming post will get none. If it ever arrives he will have to pay for collection, and wont be getting good feedback.

Even if there were delays, sending by 2nd class on Monday is no good. He could have sent me a message and I would have paid the extra. I needed item by the date.

I ended up doing the jobs by hand after waiting a week, so I am not happy!

A simple search of the news shows that this statement is complete rubbish.
As a manufacturer and online retailer I can assure you that any post going North - South is being massively impacted by the low numbers of RM staff in the hubs due to C19.

Even Amazon Prime which is always next working day is now 4-5 days!

There’s been a 22% increase in online sales (which is bigger than the Christmas rush) and huge numbers of workers either off sick or self isolating.

But as your Postie said there’s no problem I’m sure it’s fine and the sellers are just being obstinate.

There are certainly delays with RM. I sent a small pin to a member here, first class letter and it took a week.
Sent something else to a friend and it too took ages.

Just to add, couriers are also having delays, most of my deliveries have been a day later than stated, some 2 or more. The only deliveries I have that came when they were supposed to are the ones from Richard Austin Alloys, they deliver with their own fleet of lorries so that would be expected.

My morse taper adaptor, from Scotland is currently having a lovely holiday in France, before returning home as the bloody delivery driver couldn't find my post box... Grrr.

My live center, has spent a week crossing the channel by plane, and is currently still enjoying Paris, it's thinking about travelling west, but is unsure...

Yep, it's all a bit carp at the moment.

However, my order from the jungle turned up in advance, then the trade unions shut them down...

carb bits from UK turned up yesterday after being posted on the 25th of March, nearly 4 weeks for something that normally takes 3 - 4 days... Don't know which side, but there's delays in the postal service somewhere............

Im sure there are small delays dotted around but down here TN and RH mail centres are fine. My problem is his attitude of blaming somone else when he sent item 4 days late, it is never going to arrive on time.

The tungsten from grim_d was collect+ from Scotland in 2 days and C+ are normally a week.
I got other bits from private sellers all over the uk arriving as normal.

Amazon Prime is being a pain. Ordered stuff on Monday that I needed for tomorrow. Checked the delivery and paid more for a quick delivery. Not here so I'll need to improvise.

I think there really are postage slowdowns at the moment. A lot of getting stuff packed and sent slowdowns too. Companies are still figuring out how they can work safely and probably have way more demand than normal. Delivery drivers are busy too. Thank goodness we can still get stuff. I love the NHS and key workers who are paying taxes so I can have a holiday on them, but it's good to still ocasionally be able to buy stuff to keep busy.

I sent something 2nd class large letter about two weeks ago, he gave me feedback threee days later.
I put another 2nd large letter in the mailbox, on sunday, I got feedback yesterday.


I saw pics of the Eltham[?] sorting office and it was just a mass of cages no room around them and no
people in sight.
So I was quite pleased to see the brake hose mans feedback.

The last things sent by parcel locker are shown as being picked up, but that's the extent of the tracking info.
However one of the packages was going to GSP and that is shown on ebay as arriving on Wednesday[it was put in the locker monday afternoon]
So I am going to assume any tracking info I don't like is wrong;-)

Yeah, it makes sense. I can't get building materials needed for our project house, and there has been a delay on a couple of items my Wife has ordered online.
We're all in the same boat, so we just have to make do the best we can.

I sent a part out via parcelforce 24, it took two weeks. Luckily buyer could see tracking and I wasn’t lying
