Ebay is nothing but a flea market nowadays. I bought a (allegedly) semi pro ice maker, which was a couple of hundred quid. What turned up was utter junk, nothing like the description and it took a full 14 hours to actually make some ice. Complained to the seller, full refund and they didn’t want the thing back, leaving me to have to take it to the tip.
Ebay is also littered with counterfeit stuff as well. Car oil filters, allegedly Fram brand but completely empty. No actual filtering media inside the outside case. Reported to Trading Standards, who did absolutely nothing about it.
