Ebay ipad app.

Anyone else suffered this? My Ipad runs 10.x ios and is as up to date as possible. When I tried to use my Ebay app it said I needed to update it, no warning at all. Clicked update and it exited everything. I deleted the app and tried to reinstall it and it says I need ios 12.x. That is not available to me. I've now got no Ebay and have people waiting for goods, waiting for payment and wanting to pay me to send out goods. I've emptied my Paypal account as it's part of Ebay. Ebay are just plain stupid, but I knew that anyway. I'll just use other auction sites now. There's loads of free ones that the crooks don't tend to frequent.

Don't point fingers at eBay mate. It's not there fault your old iPad doesn't support the lastest os. That's apple driving sales.

Just open eBay in a web browser and crack on.

have to agree with the above you bought crap and now your forced to buy another

so alternative use the internet explorer on your tablet

or

get a pc less trouble less hassle

as goes for its there fault i cant pay sorry it dosnt work like that

same with goods so say goodbye to your account on ebay failed to deliver items bad feedback

as above dont use apple now myself a android phone/tablet is half the price of the same iphone or tablet

and every 3 years they kick you off for not having the latest ios the lenth of a apple device if you want to use certain apps is 5 years or less

I've had my iPad 2 since 2011.
Still works perfectly. Holds a charge for months despite spending 3 years unused in a drawer
Runs reasonably quickly for my needs
Just can't update it to the later os.

I won't get rid of it as got some decent music apps on it for the kids to use

Just get the non-app version of Ebay and add it to your Home Screen. The app tries to take too many shortcuts, you're better off without it IMO.

Same as me then, recently had to upgrade my phone because of this, I had an iPhone 5 from new (so 7 1/2 years of use in total!) and due to being restricted to iOS 10 most of my apps stopped working. I wasn’t too disgruntled about having to upgrade, I’d had my money’s worth!

as already said, your only option is to use the explorer website, rather than the app. It’s nowhere near as easy to use though. that or bite the bullet and upgrade. Your doing well to still be using it, they usually slow down to point where they’re almost useless. Another ploy to make you buy new no doubt...

Just use eBay via Safari, that’s what I do, didn’t know there was an iPad ‘app’ for it.

My internet banking app suddenly demanded a newer IoS. Massive inconvenience, and the new one is exactly the same as the old one!
It was the bank's idea, not Apple's by the way.

You may be able to download the previous version of the app? go to your account in the App Store and look in previous purchases is it there if so install it from there? Had this on my kids iPads wiped them and YouTube wouldn't install because it wasn't supported but after some googling found you can download previous versions from the "your purchases" area in account settings. it worked.

Make sure you also remove your bank account details from PayPal as well, otherwise they still have their hooks in you.

you cant remove your details it still has a connection to it through your sort code number and still can take out for funds needed

anything outstanding you still have to pay for so really no escape

Done that straight away. I've had Paypal lock my account for no reason in the past and block access to money I needed urgently. Ir was a nightmare getting it back. That's why I only accepted cash on collection for big money items
