ebay/cheapo cordless ratchet ?

anyone got a specific one to recommend

i have m12 stuff already , not convinced id use one enough to justify the cost , thought id try a throw away ebay one and if its amazing then upgrade to a nicer one

I’ve got an m12 one too. Lovely kit just don’t use it as much as I thought I would. Tend to go do the little impact wrench (1/4 drive) which is an amazing tool.

I picked up one of the parkside ones from lidl & it's been really handy. I got it inpreference to some of the larger ones as having a big 18v battery on the end seemed like it would just get in the way. the relatively small 10/12v parkside one has been good in that regard.

yeah saw the ones that take an 18v , looks too cumbersome to be much use

Im old school and dont actually find them that useful , I can do the same work with a standard ratchet ,,, impact guns have their uses , from time to time , usually on the way down , very seldom on the way up.

I'm going on experience with the warranties on stuff I've bought from Aldi (which may not be the same) which has been great within the warranty period, and I'm a bit less confident that a generic eBay seller will be as good. If I get desperate I'll go down the eBay route. If I recall correctly I thought the £40-odd for the Lidl one was a bit steep, I'd have been happier around £30 so maybe I'll just have to bit the bullet and get one from somewhere.

I had 200 self drilling /tapping sheet metal bolts in a very akward place....
so bought a mid range ratchet off temu....2 batts, think it was around 40 euros.....still works fine on the first battery charge.....
had to be careful on the trigger as it could / did strip the screws in the metal (2.5mm galv box)

If you're not in a rush I'll be listing some Milwaukee tools in the next 4-6 weeks including the M12 3/8" high speed ratchet. Just need to find time to get them sorted.

In addition to a couple of high-end genuine Milwaukee cordless ratchets, I have one of these cheapos:

It is compact and surprisingly fast and powerful. Rather than the typical 3-cell 12v versions, the battery has 4 vertical cells inside the grip, and 2 more horizontally in the flat base. They are all in series ( 6S ), making this a 24v tool.

I actually bought mine for £5 at a Tractor Jumble sale, with no charger and one battery held in by tape due to broken clips, but it works well.
The EVs I am working on often have very long fine-thread bolts screwed into aluminium castings, with poor access. They turn easily and do not offer enough resistance to activate a manual ratchet or ratchet spanner, so a powered ratchet is very useful to wind them in or out.
Despite the small size, there are still places it cannot reach. I am considering buying another cordless ratchet, wiring a remote battery pack and cutting off the battery compartment, making it a "super stubby" comparable in length to the shortest air ratchets.
