eBay airbag jacks.

There are times when my trolley jack doesn't lift high enough so I'm considering one of the circa £70 airbag jacks off eBay.
Has anyone here bought one ? If so are they worth having ?

I’ve not used one, but am interested to know about them as well, as my trolley jack is just about off its trolley. I would have thought that it would have tended not to push up square depending if the load wasn’t quite central. The bellows looks very similar to the air system of spring assisters that I fitted to the back of our campervan.

Bloke up the street from me died last year when one of these came down when he was under the car.
Obviously you should use axle stands before you go under car regardless of what sort of jack you use, but the one that failed was apparently "nearly new".

From looking at the descriptions they have a telescopic centre to ensure it goes up straight.

I used one once - could not see any advantage over a trolley jack to be honest.

I rate them, got a few of this type. There is some kind of tether inside them so they top out, they are handy for axle supports when changing bushes on trailers.

If it's a Vevor one they must be really good.

I have yet to use them but i have two. i jacked a car up with ease just to see how they lift, good solid lift and stance while you get a prop under of some sport. . Crap build quality as usual from Vevor but not to affect the working of them.

All the cheap ones are same base as Vevor though. next one up are dam expensive.

I have 3 and use them all the time. If i can use one instead of a hydraulic jack i will, quick and easy.

The Selson ones are the best i've used but they're £400+ each.

But if maximum lifting height is a concern i'd get a high lift long chassis jack instead.

If I've got a vehicle on ramps, and then want to put it on axle stands, the large trolley jack doesn't lift high enough. At present I end up putting a block of wood on the trolley jack pad to get the extra height but obviously that isn't a particularly good idea.

Decided not to bother with an air jack. Reckon I'll just use one of my bottle jacks instead
