Hey guys, I’m not sure what welder to buy as far as Quality and reliability and quality and reliability of the welds I wanna be able to weld up to 3/8 or even a half inch on occasion. I’m mostly welding sheet-metal, exhaust and brackets on my vehicles. various projects like welding shock mounts to motorcycle frames cutting and repositioning parts on a motorcycle frame and helping some friends out with suspension work and miscellaneous stuff on their trucks which will be about 3/8 thick too 1/2” on occasion, as far as welders go I don’t know anything I know I want to use shielding gas and I’ve been looking at the Lincoln 180 and the Eastwood 180 my budget is at most $1000.
