I thought the whole ethos behind direct debits was the "direct debit promise" in that you could stop them and even get your money back on demand without referring to the beneficiary.

I can cancel DDs online if I want to.

problem was sorted and they never got another payment from me. i reported the card as lost and got a new card,- - they cant get a penny out of me now. and they have even stopped emailing me to try and get me other items from them,

the million dollar question have u stopped or did the stress make u smoke more

i find that i use them both m8 ..
but im happy this way as it has still cut down the amount that i smoke and i notice that i feel healthier, i was a really heavy smoker,
it would be nice to stop all together. maybe one day ,

i smoked over 60 a day and went half an hour without one so i just stopped best thing i ever did . its only the 1st 2 weeks that are bad.just keep busy and it soon passes

My dad gave up after having to spend a week in hospital. Hospitals now make it so hard for a bed ridden patiuent to smaoke its near impossible. but he said it was relatively easy because his routine cig with a cup of tea or after a meal etc, was stopped. Its getting in to a new routine thats the hardest.

By the time he was out of hospital all his cigs and tobacco had been thrown out, along with all the ashtrays in the house. He never smoked again and that was 10 years ago.

I did the same after a week in hospital, managed to stay off them for a couple of years, but living with a 40 a day smoker I eventually "cracked". Then 9 months ago Mrs Robo quit overnight, now I'm struggling to pack them in again!
