Right learned gents i need some info. I have a newish machine mart steel cut of saw but i would like to know if you can replace 355mm cutting disc for a 305mm wood saw blade and use it as a dual m/c. I have several different size spacers in case the shaft or saw blade hole centre are different, i just want to use it if its safe to do so, its just to cut a few small pieces of wood fairly accurately. Reason: i am toying with the idea of making a cigar box guitar and i want to cut a scarf joint for the head angle, now i know that i can buy a neck cheaper or even file the headstock but i don't want that, if I'm going to make one i want to build it from scratch. Would the saw blade spin fast enough and more importantly would it be safe. Just for interest has anybody Mansfield area got any decent gallon oil cans that want to get rid of, i am in the process of building a oilcan guitar but the can I've got has no character and i am not paying evilbay prices for a GTX or Duckhams can that is rusty and looks like its been run over and advertised as a man cave trophy, if not i could always put some stickers on the one I've got . Thanks in advance and stay safe. Pud.
