Just wondering whether there is a special mig wire than can be used to repair items with threads ripped out.
Can't use a re thread as it's often too badly damaged.
My son had 3 such holes to fill and was able to bolt a guide on to drill straight. He used cobalt drills from listers.
1st hole he filled with weld and it drilled like butter and he was amazed.
Second hole he damaged 2 drills completing the hole. Using 6.8mm drills.
Third one was just impossible.
In the end he used the mig to clear away a large area he could put his finger in (when cooled obviously)
He then welded the hole up but even that did not allow a hole to be drilled.
Any suggestions for discussion and future use?
By the way a mag drill would not sit flat due to the seam on the machine.
