drill bits for tap n die set.

Afternoon all..does anybody know if there is a specific tap n die drill bit set available..i have a chart with the drill bit sizes for taps..all the places I have looked only do the normal 0.5 increasements..i can get single drill bits but not a set...

There is always some discount to come off, usually 25-40%. I know they include the taps too, but i cannot find the tapping drills alone at the minute.

Had a thought that may be there is a set, say 1-13mm x 0.5, including tapping drills for M3-12.

just order the bits you need for the taps you have, in fact order more than one of each as you 100% know your going to break the drill bit with a dumb move when its the only one you have the correct size

I usually just look up thread core dia in thread tables, work it out as decimal parts of an inch, if not already quoted as such (convert to inches if metric) multi by 64 & see which imperial drill size is nearest. Never had any difficulties.

yea a set of metric drills and a set of imperial including the 64 ths covers the lot .the drill sizes dont need to be spot on unless u go down to number drill sizes

Doesn't the dormer metric set come with the metric tapping drills? I have seen a tapping drill set
somewhere, may have been the j&L catalog.
To buy a metric set of tapping drills individually shouldn't be a problem. What sizes can't you get?

Yes I can get them separately that's no problem..i just thought that being a comon workshop tool that they would of made a big ol set of em.....
