The only chance you get with them cone screws are the big ones that work on hydraulics from a PTO or powerpack...Pile of pish it stalls all my drills even the big boy sds had to use a splitter to retrieve it from a log.
Ive tried a pto one…….didnt like it, finger splitting potential
Wonder if he'll get the dangly cords on his hat in there as well?I've seen larger ones mounted to car hubs on YouTube.
Effective, but not much margin for error! Full concentration needed, definitely no complacency!
I have a PTO one for my Super Dexta. Very good - done tonnes and tonnes of wood with it. You need a riving knife under the cone, or the log will rotate, otherwise much simpler and quicker than the hydraulic type (you’re not always waiting for it to return).
i think ive seen you ask about many log splittersThanks everyone. Pressure washer is now out! Its worked on a small section really well.
Longer term will look for a better stain I think but no idea whats good ans what is snake oil. I will look at the one you suggest Bullet.
Not sure you mean me Gaz - the quotes from my slippy decking thread!i think ive seen you ask about many log splitters
Started the log splitter build
Black tools 18T splitter, it was cheaper when I got mine a couple of years ago, £1200 including the delivery. I tow it to the farm where we cut and split arb waste. wow that is a beast! a bit spendy for me for home use! the grand total of this build has been under £60www.mig-welding.co.uk
what happened to your build or are you looking for something more easier ?
