Dremel 8220 Stopped Working

Brother just messaged me this:

"Have you got any experience of tools like this? Just stopped working. Battery charges fine. But will not turn on. Increasing the speed slider just causes the 3 green lights to flash in sequence".

 Any thoughts?

I have a virtually new dremel that's stone dead after just a few uses, I ended up getting a cheapo Snide one from ebay for about 17 quid which has been great.
Hence, Not a fan of "real" dremels
These are mains ones btw

Don't know about yours, but all mine have suffered from broken motor winding wires, re-soldered and working fine.
