It's a series showing a few mods to the aircraft (like a massive engine swap!) and a fair bit of carbon fibre layout. Like project Binky, it makes you wonder how these guys find the time to do it all.

I think Mike Patey has some other job but since he's a flying cowboy and designs, builds and races his own aircraft, he's a pretty cool dude and the whole build series very watchable.

Watched another YouTuber doing a walk around of that airframe with mike, one hell of a machine. Fitting a turboprop is a ludicrous idea but obviously worked out well

If you are into bush planes, check out Trent Palmer's youtube channel. To date, as I understand, the shortest landing record for a bush plane is 10' 5", and take off at just over 14' from a dead stop; awesome to say the least.

Reminds me a lot of the Pilatus Porter, so beloved of the CIA in Laos for its ability to land / takeoff on a postage stamp.
