Double spring (?) washers

So I need myself a few of these things and I don’t know where to get them from. I went in to my washer and fastener shop today and showed them this and they looked upon it in awe, as though I held the key to Atlantis, though unhelpfully couldn’t help me in getting some new ones. I only need about ten, less I think.

The last time I used or have seen those thackery washers was on a 1558 lotus twincam engine, the dcoe carbs were held on with them. The retaining nuts bottomed out on a shouldered stud leaving just the spring tension in the washer to keep the carbs against the manifold face.

They are for maintaining the correct tension in the guard arms on my grinder. It's a whole cotter pin and castellated nut malarky, classic British over-engineering

I've seen them under Simmonds nuts (Nyloc to you youngsters) holding sliding handbrake expanders to the backplate. Also known as double coil spring washers.

It's from 1955 so 11/16 outer dia, 3/8 inner dia

Thackery washers are used on sidedraft webers when Misab Plates or manifolds with O-ring seals.
The O ring seal/Misab plate, is a anti vibration device to stop foaming of the fuel in the float chamber.
