Gents,
I am having my first attempt at forming a double curvature panel. I have an original panel to copy and have used profile gauges to obtain the profile "horizontally" and "longitudinally" ie 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock.
I am using a heavy engineer's hammer and sand cushion. However I'm getting more curvature in one "plane" than the other. I have also realised that as one plane gets more curvature that prevails against the curve going in the opposite direction.
Can anyone offer any advice? I have seen one tuiion video which suggests that you have to hollow, planish, hollow again, planish again etc etc. Is this correct?
Any advice would be welcome. It's a lower front wing.
Regards
Paul Mac.
