Doosan’s - what do they do?

Good evening, all.
I’ve heard much about Doosan’s in Tipton and have Googled them but don’t really understand why they are seen by some as the bees’ knees regarding the place to get your Welding qualifications?
I’m not saying they aren’t, but that I don’t yet know why this seems to be the such a well thought of place amongst Welders?

Do they have their own learning academy or just somewhere to do codings / tests?

The plant hire place work at is a doosan dealer. They make some huge machines

There is a place near here called Doosan Babcock I think they are involved in the electricity generating industry. They get varied reviews on indeed

I think they are one of these large companies that do everything. They have their own youtube channel.

Tested out a few times at “babbies” for power station outages, refineries, etc. I used it as back up in case there was no work about when I was contracting, it was a busy half days testing, from memory you had to do a 6” chrome butt tig and stick, 2” tig butt chrome in the jig, 2” carbon butt tig & stick fill no jig, 2” stainless butt with solar flux and 2” stainless butt purged, all 6G, always got paid for testing out, nowadays it’s agencies and have your own codings for jobs, welding games knackered in the UK...
But back to original question yes think they do welder training but it would probably be expensive...

Yes they have a training school at Tipton. Highly regarded in the Engineering Construction Industry. As Parm says, if you can get in , you'll be sorted with probably the best training going.
