Door screen

Hi all, my workshop is in a farm barn with large sliding doors that open out onto a country lane. Not many people go past but there are walkers & delivery drivers every so often so I'd like to stop people looking in.
Does anyone have any suggestions how I can block off the bottom 8 foot or so?
I thought a retractable screen of some sort could be good. Are there any welding suppliers that do that kind of thing?
Interested to hear how others have worked around this problem in the past.
Caveat is the wind picks up, so whatever does the job has go to be able to withstand a bit of a breeze from time to time.

its either a bifold gate or telescopic gate

the telescopic gate being the better one when wind is around as its supported at each and and the gate adds strength across it

Better yet when they are second hand enough to be well scratched and seen a few seasons. Plus you get to keep the draught out on cold days but need a lot of extra light. There was a neigbouring unit at the place I used to rent near Runcorn that had a sodium coloured version, you could not see anything from the outside but inside there was still a good bit of light coming in.

i remember your other post and you have internal sliding doors not external sliding doors



which makes it damn ackward to fit anything if external doors you could have just fitted the inside with the pvc curtains but with internal doors it makes it harder to fit anything else unless i played with a dual door opener on the same door

this would allow the top to become insulated

I want the daylight in. All the lights are on one side of the workshop so I want the daylight to balance out the light. Also for ventilation when I've got the gas forge running.

with tech nowadays you can make a slide door halfway up the door that could be insulated

to do that light guage steel can be used and built like a truss frame filled with insulation boards

its also bloody strong

the advantage of using that is you can fit smaller pvc curtains lower down on those type of doors

the most important part is having space to the side that can fit a full width span so it can slide out of the way when needed

I use 2m scaffold debris netting like a curtain across my double garage door. I doubled it up for privacy. Bit of a faf threading the string through but work well.
