had a couple of tubs of glyso for a couple of years now , doesnt seem as effective as when new , does it go off or a bit early to be using it?

Any referances for this? What is quite quickly? Maybe I should tip mine in the corner where the japanese knotweed lives....

works all right after a few years ihave some not the time of year to be using it . warmer weather and a good growth needed weeds need to be well up and a dry day rain ruins it

My experience was that stuff stored over winter was much less effective than fresh, but I can't offer anything other than that (I'm sure I'd read somewhere that it went off after opening).

Needs to be applied when weeds are actively growing, so no point at this time of year, and no rain for 24hours after application. It also takes about a fortnight to work.
It does seem to go off, but it takes some years. Does NOT like freezing temperatures, so should be kept indoors if possible. Proper Roundup, Gallup, TF etc, is meant to be applied by a big Agri sprayer, but used for DIY type use is usually overdosed anyway. If you still have some after eight to ten years, just add a little bit more !
The only thing you MUST be careful of though, is animals eating it, so if you have a dog or cat that eats or chews grass, keep them away for a couple of days. Grazing animals are a different thing altogether.

I have never noticed it going off. Applying it when its cold & damp in winter is a waste of time, plants need to be growing & dry to apply it.
If it rains on them before its absorbed it will wash off & wont work.
At this time of year ammonium sulphamate will work better.

Glyphosate is good for about five years, it the rest of the cocktail that may not survive.
