Why is it that when I'm on the motorway (which is a lot) with 50mph average speed cameras, I feel like I'm the slowest person even though I'm doing 50mph?

If you stick to the speed limit on any road you will be mobile road block,folk are prepared to risk life , limb and license in a vain attempt to shave a few seconds off a journey. Many memorials tied to trees around here to prove it.

I'm quite anal about these cameras. I always set cruise control to 50 and then wonder why I get overtaken by articulated wagons amongst others

what pees me off is someone in outside lane doing spot on 70mph when traffic in inside lane is doing the same speed needless to say action been taken

Most car speedo's under read now, it also depends on the type of tyres fitted and how worn they are if you have a vehicle such as a large 4X4 with more tread depth to wear away.

Changing the rolling radius by altering tyre or ŵheel size most definately affects the speedo, but mm of tyre wear. Really ?????
