I use a few of them in my workshop as welding jig clamps, and they much more reliable than supposedly (and horrenously expensive ) industrial jig clamps.

As welding jig positioning clamps I have used each of my CVC6's over 4000 times now.
On my bench drill I have used a pair of CVC6's many, many times... too many to count ... no problems.
I have used my CVC9's many hundreds of times without an issue
but be certain they have a return spring fitted. I bought 6 of them about a year ago from Norwich Machinemart and none of them had the return springs. MM sorted that out with new whole replacements the next day for me and let me keep the ones without springs.
