Does anyone know where I can get teeth for this power scythe?

I picked up this machine for nothing. It's a pretty useful tool and helps me keep on top of some rough areas that take an age to mow.

I've caught one of the end teeth on something and broken one of its fixings. I can put a little spot of weld on this for the time being but at some point it's going to need parts on the cutter bar. Googling Decimator Power Scythe only brings up a few pictures of the odd one for sale.

The only marking on the cutter bar is 'pL 391 PL 006' which also returns nothing.

Sorry. The pictures not the clearest of the loose tooth. Zoom in on the last photo and you can see just - It's snapped behind the hole the rivet goes through. If the rivet had come off I would 100% do what you suggest but it won't hold it unfortunately.

i have one on the merry tiller so easy to repair when needed but dual scythe is faster and quicker

Powered sickle or scythe teeth was returning nothing in the UK. Most of thr above terms and links return something promising! I will pursue again with new search terms!

those knife blades are as soft as sh.it the ones i had on my massey ferguson cutter bar were as hard as hell . a file wouldnt touch them

Not sure about the UK....thought they were banned....elf n saftey...
But available new in France and Greece...

we had a bad section of brambles etc.....used my ride on but got so many punctures....put solid tyres on the front and all is well.....
Once u get old that kinda machinery kills ur back n legs....well everything really.....

Combine harvester knife sections are hardened and suspect a file won't touch them, a flap disc might though. They are also different sizes, shapes and with different holes to match individual manufacturers specifications.
If you can file it I would suggest it's more from an old finger bar mower binder or reaper. Suspect most ag. suppliers won't stock such blades any more everything moved over to spinning discs now. You might get lucky with old stock on a shelf or vintage supplier otherwise online like the flails direct link earlier. You'll probably need the exact measurements and hole sizes first.

I'll drop flails direct a line shortly once I've gone out and done some measuring. Those claas ones look like a similar size for sure but I haven't measured what's on there yet.

The blades on a McCormick International finger bar mower were hardened.

The broken blade can also be called a section. You will need the correct one for your mower as you'll struggle to redrill the rivet holes. It is hardened steel and if it's only half a hole out you'll have to weld up the hole and start again.

I would repair your existing blade. Get some brass rod the size of the rivet hole and use it to keep the hole there whilst you fill the missing part with weld. Clamp the main part to thick steel to act as a heat sink. Keep the heat localised and let it cool naturally. Grind it back to shape and use it.

You will need proper soft iron rivets to join it, don't be tempted to use a nail or bolt.

Bit more info - the teeth are 50mm wide at the bottom and 70mm tall. The holes are 6mm diameter and 30mm centres. One tooth on there has obviously been replaced and bears the marks ESM 32-37-03 (this does throw up pics of the teeth but no obvious UK sellers). I will drop a line to flails direct now that i have these measurements and let you know what they say. If they cant supply something (inc the proper countersunk rivets, i will look at a repair.
