I thought it was a bit of stainless wire/rod but snipped it and it was very soft. Then noticed this stamped on one end.
Total length approx 600mm, diameter approx 2mm
Hard to make out the code but looks to me like M 5556.
The 6 could possibly be an 8 as only the bottom half visible. Or it may read the other way making the M a W.
Was wondering if it was some form of soldering rod, possibly silver solder?
