Do you need to dry new rolls of filament?

ABS, PETG or PLA etc. If you get new branded rolls like Flashforge from amazon that come in a vacuum sealed bag do you still need to run it through a heated filament dryer for hours before use?

Or since its a new sealed roll its OK.

No not as such new to 3D printing and was just unsure if that was acceptable or could lead to problems

I have had to dry petg before. If you leave it out for ages you can hear popping when you print, it's the moisture evaporating as it hits the nozzle. Messes up the print, looks very stringy.

New filament that's been stored properly won't need drying.

Don't rely on fresh rolls being dry. They usually are, BUT.

Buy yourself a dryer, like the one in my K1 advert.

Thanks, yes I have a dryer and vacuum bag set.
