do you always dress automotive welds?

Just wondered if others always dress welds even if they are not usually visible or do you leave them as is, wondered if it would weaken the joint on such thin metal ?

as long as you only dress them down to the same thickness as the original metal it wont weaken the joint

i always do if i can get the grinder in there easily but i dont if its in a cramped space even if it is visible

Dressed welds will trap less water leading to less rust.
