Do all grinders get hot?

i ran mine for 20 mins using a slitting disk to cut up biggish swa cable up it wasnt to happy and gear box was well hot might take it to bits and re pack it with the proper grease be a shame to ruin it if i dont

Another common issue is getting the most out of grinding media, often people just keep running them until they think they are fully spent. Tired media means longer run time and puts more heat into a surface.
