Went up there years ago and couldn't get near the place, even showed them my CIU club card to no avail.

You go on the base but the course is run privately by DNVGL. They go through different scenarios but the most amazing thing is how much of an explosion 7kg of propane can make; in an open area it's no big deal with just a big flame, in a congested area the intensity, power and speed is significantly increased, but put it in an enclosed space and it becomes a considerable explosion.
