Hello happy welders,
I was chuffed how much interest was shown in my project that I ranted on about a while back, but am dissappointed to say I have done not much more than hardly anything!
However today I have pulled the mudguard off and had a scratch around, what do you reckon?

What can you buy for those cars these days? For ancient Renaults a fair number of panels are available, but interiors and cool bits aren't.

Interior and cool bits look good on yours, so bit of metal work is in order. Looks like complete panels would really be required as they've gone around all the edges. Could be fabricated, but that's time consuming.

What's the rest of the structure like?

G'day Malcolm,
lots is available from south america, they were made there much later than in Europe like the VWs. Yes the panels on it are in places a bit shaky, but all salvageable. It has a full chassis so pretty robust in construction. The bottoms of the doors have been replaced before and not very nicely really. It seems I just need to be patient and do a proper job.I will post the odd progress shot.

They remind me of my youth in Africa, and must be quite rare over here.
