For fun, I made a mag drill stand a while back built around my Evolution mag drill. It’s actually turned out to be a useful bit of kit, making the drill much less job-specific.
There are a ton of great—even better—ideas out there, but since I had a mounting pile of 100mm x 100mm offcuts, this is what I went with. I received some constructive advice elsewhere about making the table slide up and down, but after giving it some thought, I don't see a need for it; the adjustment and travel on the drill itself do the same job.
The hole increments starting from the first hole down are 40mm apart. By dropping the table down a further 40mm from that in the images I found I could slide 100mm x 100mm square tube in under the mag drill with 5mm of clearance to spare. For small jobs, I can just use a vice without needing to adjust the table height further.
i will add some crappy drawings i threw together maybe there's something of use in amongst them.
