distorted frame help required

I made up this frame for solar panels, the middle section is 4mm sheet on 40 x 40 x5 angle, its gone about 6/10 mm concave after welding. I tried jumping on it, but its too strong, any ideas to get it back flat ?

I normally resolve those kind of problems with blocks of wood and a sledge hammer, or sash cramps with the heads reversed if it needs pushing out between two sides.

If I'd made it, it would be sat on two wooden bars/posts either end of the bend and then have the loader bucket sat on it carefully to straighten it. But I have access to the tractor any time working on a farm.

Maybe leave a large weight on it overnight with the ends of the bend off the ground. Or if you have access to heat, same as but heat with the weight on till it's straight.

Block the convex side in the middle and then use 5 ton ratchet straps from one edge, over the blocks, to the other edge.

Put it on some wooden blocks, at each end, bow up... Block of wood on top, couple of hits with a sledge will sort that no problem.

That will knock out no problems, Just be careful not to put kinks in it when you get physical with it.

Sometimes its quicker/a better job just to cut it out, swear at it/yourself, and weld some new, straight, bits in.

Yeah, it was straight before I welded it. Its all my known fault. I thought tacked up to the angles it would not go anywhere, but it took the angles with it.

I've got a 1.5 t chain puller, propane roofing torch, oxy/ propane cutting torch, bottle jacks .

The sledge hammer will be first though.

Stitch weld where ever you can with thin flimsy things.

I guess if you weld RSJs together all day then maybe it is

If you fully welded a flat bar along a decent sized 'RSJ' you'd still have the same issue....
