Disposing of Scrap Kitchen Units

Background, I collected what was supposed to be the bits of a recently uninstall kitchen. Some of it is usable, a set of drawers, one floor standing cupboard and four wall cupboards.

But actually a lot is scrap, incomplete units or units that just enclosed built in appliances, odd bits of coving. All laminate faced chipboard or MDF.

Ideas for reusing or disposal? I burned a few odd bits in the stove and it's a bit smokey so wouldn't want to burn it in bulk.

Our local recycling centre has a roll on roll off container for all that.

I've bought a lot of used kitchens over the years, use what I need for my own kitchen refurb then either use the leftover units as storage in the garage or get rid of them.

Use the odd bits as a storage units in your garage / workshop? Just add a worktop (the counter top from the kitchen you are taking out)

You collected them, can you copy the advert you saw and advertise the unwantd bits as "free to collector" - it might get them out of your way.

Smoke from the chipboard / mdf pieces is toxic so don't burn it on the house stove. Putting them on your next garden bonfire is also not a good idea.

Flat pack the units (FBH or jumping on them with size 12s works for me), then take them to your local council tip. Van or signwritten vehicles are not allowed at our tips.
You might have to book in advance and pay to dispose but it's the only legal route I've found.

A slow but steady option is to put a half dozen bits in your household bin every time it gets collected (not practical if you live near Birmingham - bins there have not been collected for more than a year !)

Flytippers in our area have their own way of disposing of their old kitchen units (and beds, fridges, bald tyres...) but I've never understood why they feel the need...

i only take what is full units on a strip out

the issue with someone else taking them out they expect all to be taken and you can end up with junk than what you wanted

last one i got was 4 good base units 2 doubles one larder unit and 2 drawer units one being a good metal drawer 600 set the wall units was trash but i got another set of wall units from another job

the rest went in the skip
