How long should a disposible bottle of CO2 Argon mix last, I have gone through 2 coming up for 3 putting a rear boot floor repair section in a mini. I have the regulator opened at 1/2 a turn per instructions?? I have yet to do the boot hinge panel, rear valance, closing plates, 2x door step to rear arch panels and a repair to the scuttle panel. Would I be better sourcing a big bottle if so where, how and approx how much.
Due to the novelty I am still enjoying this, even when things go a bit pear shaped, when does it wear off.

Depends how long you;re planning on using the welder, if its a lot the big bottle rentals worth it, it'll pay for itself inside about 8/9 small bottles which each do about a metre of welding IIRC

Really - 60L at 10L per minute would be 6 minutes. As Andrew says that's about 1m of continuous welding.

The big bottles hold 2300L so that's about 40* the time for size X and twice that for size Y. Either should last for a reasonable project.
