I had just finished my second coat of clear when a sheet of metal fell away from my storage at the back of the garage and scraped the clear and base off down to the primer. I was already in trouble as it had gone dark and I wanted to really put 4 coats of clear on for wet sanding later so at this point I gave up I waited for the previous coat to flash a bit and sprayed a light coat of clear of over the damage. I'll post some pics in the morning.
Now first thing can I spray a couple of more coats of clear on the undamaged parts tomorrow or will I have to wait until it's fully hardened and then scotch the surface before adding those extra coats. If I have to scotch what colour pad should I use Grey/Red or green and will the scratches from that show in the clear?
For the damaged areas I'll post tomorrow.
Thanks,
Eric.
