Disabled Clocks

As I am sure, there are other disabled members using this site I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get hold of a 'Plastic' timer clock as opposed the the rubbish pressed cardboard type that is supplied with the blue badge, mine has virtually lost all of its cardboard fingers already so setting the time is a real PITA, cheers all.

They must vary between authorities, in the West Mids it is a thumbwheel with the hours round the outer edge, just rotate it to display arrival time.

That really really annoy's me when the traffic wardens issue tickets for that kind of thing are the wardens/councils that retarded they cant read the time on a 'non standard' clock or is it just another excuse to screw the public? I know what I think!

I've had Blue badges for 15+ years and never had to replace the clock but reckon a simple phone call to the issuing office would get another put in the post to you.
What I find is a PIA is they will only issue one Badge whereas I have two cars I use regulary (Smart for every day and a Skoda for when more seats / load capacity / towing needed) so it's save having to remember to swop the badge over.

My Neice was diagnosed with Leukeamia when she was 3, so my sister was given a badge for her whilst she was recieveing Chemo.

She got a ticket for not displaying the badge properly even though it had a picture of a 3 yr old and she was parked outside Bham Childrens hospital!

I couldn't believe it. Luckily I was with her and I saw one of the Wardens (not the one who gave out the ticket) but she said the council tells them to slap a ticket on anything thats not absolutely 100% correct and that the public should appeal. My thinking is they know most wont appeal so its easy money.

there will be a british standard spec for the badge and if what every you use is not to that spec then you might be done. Cumbria seams a bit more lax if you don't have a disk and write the time of paper and display they except that and normally leave you a disk

Thanks for all the suggestions people, the problem has arisen from buying a new leather badge and clock wallet, the clock side of it is so tight I can barely turn the wheel, but I honestly do think the std of the card in the new one is thinner than my old one, should have kept my old one I guess .......anyway onwards and sideways
