Hi all.
I’m looking to get a new arc welder that also has a Tig function. I’ve previously been using a Cebora mono weld (great welder but sadly died on me last week mid-project) and need a replacement that can do both Tig and arc welding to finish this project (I’ve just realised that part of it will be better served by some Tig welding).
A quick Google search for a cheap arc Tig welder has led me to the Dirty pro tool “Tig Welder Machine 200 Amp 230V Tig Mma Arc Stick 2 In 1 Dc Inverter Welding” currently selling for £119.99 on eBay. Does anyone have any experience with this model/company as I can see reviews of their other welders (which are mostly favourable) but not of this specific model?
For the price, I’m not expecting miller/Lincoln grade welding, nor AC/DC welding for aluminium. It would only be to get me out of a whole somewhat quick ish before I buy a better replacement that’ll hopefully last me as long as my mono welder did, with this as a backup in case I need it or to be flogged on eBay at a later date.
If this welder/company isn’t very good, are any of your able to recommend a better arc Tig welder for a similar price (sub 200 quid)? I’ve seen one from a company called YesWelder on Amazon for 160 ish but again, haven’t had any dealings with them so don’t know how good they are. I’d prefer hf or lift Tig to scratch start for the Tig function.
Thanks!
