Dipping paint

Been derusting lots of small hand tools in the citrus tank, thinking where possible of using a dipping paint to protect them. Anyone here with any experience of products like this ?

I bought some years ago to dip the handles of allen keys that I use on the lathe. They've stood the test of time but do get rather grubby.

If your into electrolytic derusting, have a look at electro dip paint for afterwards.

I built a bow press for my compound bow, it doesn't get used very often but hasn't peeled off of the parts I used it on

I got some years ago and did some screwdriver handles. Two or three dips and they are great, except as you say, they get grubby. A couple of years back I saw that plastidip also do a clear glossy coating to go over the original dip. Wish I'de known.

The other thing that really bugged me, was the tin lids, they have some micky mouse US style lids that dont seal. I discovered this when I went to do a bit more dipping and discovered a solid tin. End Rant.

I've used it, I will say, stir it very very well, then stir it some more, and then again! I store the tin upside down and had no problems, ( It was the small can though.) According to the instructions, if you want it to come off, prepare it one way, If you want it permanent, prepare it another way. I forget how though.
