Differing shades of beige

To important matters. If you were to order some paint for your 1960s car next week which shade of beige would it be? I've photo-electonicly altered the pictures to represent the exact shade on a monitor, but please ignore the shapes.

Shade 1: An odd yellowy shade that you won't see often these days but was common before the paint people got the hang of white paint:



Shade 2: A more popular redder shade

Your mum has some good taste there Rusty. Real pain to convert dark purple to magnolia (especially using the big cheap DIY store tins).

wozzaah - you've only got the choices in the poll. It's like a multiple choice question, but there are only two options so you have a 50% chance of getting it right.

Real pain to convert dark purple to magnolia

your supposed to prime it first with white paint to defuse the dark background

Had to do that. The primer is nasty. The dark red downstairs was OK enough, but I was sleeping on the futon for a couple of days after tackling the purple I found in my bedroom.

Not sure really it may just be a subconscious thing that one pic is an R4 wing and the other is a fabulous looking mini which sways me towards the second colour .

Sorry off topic slightly, but anyone got one of them Minis?? Wifes Scooby has a drink problem and 150K on the clock so looking for something cheapish to run but not too pipe and slippers, any good??

No, mine is the rusty wing - I theived the new mini photo from their press pack. Minis are OK but expensive and a really bad image in my view. Fiat 500 is cooler if you like that sort of thing (also available in beige), but if it was my choice I'd go for the Fiat Panda. very cheap and actually quite good.

Are the minis not bigger tho??? Impreza to Panda might be a tad of a downsize.... Maybe I should start a new thread, on car suggestions, I haven't a ****** clue, if theres not a D infront of the no....BTW out of interest whats wrong with the mini image?
