Die Springs and Powder coat

These are spec I require

The issue is they are Purple, they are going on a model and they either need to be black or naked

So I am not too keen on the idea of blasting them, I have read that sitting them in acetone may get it off ??

I only need 12-1 at most and getting some made (if feasable is the UK) would be prohibitive

Acetone and then warm them up and add beeswax

I can't say for certain it'll work but acetone does remove a lot of paints.

Depends what the powder coat is. It could be epoxy, polyurethane or something else that I can’t remember now

Some will be more resistant to acetone than others

Ring them and ask if you can get them un-coated.
Or try other suppliers.

@bricol I did all this an more. Unfortunatley virtually no dies springs get made here and there are done to a 'kind' of ISO system
The cost for a 'one off' are of the richter. .

I shall get some and try the old acetone ..then
